Privacy

MarginPicks is a season-long football pick pool you play with people you know. This page explains what information we handle and what we do with it.

What we collect

Your pool profile. Your display name and email address, provided by you or by your pool manager when you were invited. That's what it takes to run a pool: show your name on the standings, and email you about your picks.

Your picks and results. The picks you submit, your scores, and your standings — the game itself. These are visible to the other members of your pool, because that's what a pool is.

Your private pick link. There are no accounts or passwords on MarginPicks. Your personal link is how the site knows you. Treat it like a key: anyone with the link can see and change your picks.

The mobile app

The MarginPicks app is the website in an app wrapper. It stores your pick link(s) on your device so it can open your pool directly — that information stays on your phone, and you can remove it by clearing the app's data.

We also count, at most once per day per player, that a pool was opened from the installed app, so pool managers can see whether the app is being used. No location, contacts, photos, or other device data is collected.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused tool that does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites.

Email

We send pool-related email only: invites, pick reminders, game recaps, and notes from your pool manager. Delivery runs through our email provider (Resend). Every recurring email includes a way to unsubscribe.

Money

MarginPicks never collects, holds, or processes money. Entry fees and prizes are arranged directly between players and their pool manager, outside the site and the app (for example, by Venmo). We never see or store payment details.

What we don't do

We don't sell your information. We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. We show no ads. We don't track you across other apps or websites.

Who can see your information

Members of your own pool see your display name, picks, and standings. Our service providers process data only to run the service: Cloudflare (hosting and analytics) and Resend (email delivery). Beyond that, we'd disclose information only if the law required it.

Removing your information

Ask your pool manager to remove you from the pool — removal deletes your membership information. You can also email hello@marginpicks.com and we'll take care of it.

Age

MarginPicks is intended for adults. Pools typically involve entry fees and prizes arranged among their members, so the service is not directed to children.

Changes
